Relationship between ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Here ISO members being part of the General Assembly. It is further divided into three categories of membership that we have at ISO so we have 119 full member bodies 39 corresponding members and 3 subscriber members but what you can remember here is that the full member body have voting rights, while corresponding and subscriber members are observers so I think at this point in time.

Quality Objectives should be set by discussion with top management and be relevant to conformity of products and services offered by the organization. A few examples of quality objectives are:

·         Improvement in customer satisfaction evaluations by 3% yearly

·         On-time delivery accomplishment of 99% each quarter

·         Improve productivity of team by 2% yearly

After Quality Objectives are identified, the following stages required for arrangement of these objectives are:

Document Quality Objective: The Quality Objectives need be documented. You could utilize a Quality Manual anyway this is not, at this point required in latest version of ISO 9001 Certification in South-Africa.

Communicate Quality Objectives: The Quality objectives should be communicated to every single individual or department or divisions. This might be done through Quality Awareness meetings to all groups.

Establish Mechanisms to capture Quality Objectives: There should be a mechanisms set up in the organization to calculate the Quality Objectives. The mechanism prepared should be organized for all departments or divisions and these should be followed on a fixed frequency to guarantee compliance to these goals or objectives.

Review Quality Objectives: Once an organization begins capturing these goals, they need to audit and calculate the performance of these goals or objectives. This should be possible through Management review meeting which is planned on fixed dates. Considering the outputs of the audits, Quality objectives might be refreshed or updated, as suitable

Plan Corrective Actions: Whenever the Quality Objectives don't meet the objectives set, there should be corrective actions arranged against it. This offers a chance to distinguish process upgrades which can help improve the performance of the Quality Objectives.

Strengthening and maintaining the performance of Quality Objectives is important to guarantee effectiveness of Quality Management System. It offers a chance to the organization to improve its procedures and acquire higher efficiency in their work or systems.

Clause 5.3 is communication – Now what is meant by communication by communication we mean that you need to disseminate the importance of Environmental Management System up to all the levels of your within your organization. Another way to show commitment is to show commitment towards continuous improvement, and by giving all of this to the system. You can also demonstrate your leadership commitment. So, last 5.1 pertains to leadership commitment, and by these six things you can show leadership commitment. ISO 14001 Certification in South-Africa Those steps that you should maintain and develop a policy. You should establish a policy, you should maintain it, and you should act on it. Now, what is meant by policy? Policy is nothing but a document that shows your eagerness and readiness of readiness of your organization in terms of leadership. So you need to develop environmental policy and in that environmental policy, you need to show three commitments.

·         The first one is for a production of environment.

·         The second one is for fulfillment of any compliance obligation that can be applied to your organization, and

·         third commitment you need to show in your policy is the company's commitment for continual improvement. If you show these three commitments in any usage of words, your policy is absolutely complete

Clause 5.3 of this leadership clause states that you need to identify roles and responsibilities you need to identify them and you also need to disseminate the information regarding these roles or different responsibilities. For example, you need to inform you need to aware people of their particular responsibilities. So, by working on these three sub flow over five, an organization can show leadership commitment and if leadership commitment is clear if leadership commitment is up to date, then you can rest assured that your environmental management system can be implemented with ease, and it can bring fruitful results.

ISO 45001 specifies requirement for Occupational Health and Safety Management System and this became a full standard on the 12th of March 2018 and as soon as the standard was published. OHSAS 18001 was withdrawn. Companies that still have the 18001 have three years to make the transition. But 45001 is now the new standard. You may say why is it called 45001 and not ISO 18000, there is already an ISO 18000 standard and it's all to do with radio frequencies, so that number couldn't be used anymore as far as an international standard an ISO 45001 Certification in South-Africa was concerned. So we have the new numbering system and it is the first occupational health and safety standard that provides a complete framework and we see that there are now a number of benefits. With this new standard it's integrated approach. It is now much easier to integrate the standard with other management system standards that have made the transition over to a High Level Structure. The standard is generic applies to all sizes of organizations, small and large. The standard itself has been simplified. Gone are the large paragraphs and now we have simple sentence structures, which makes it a lot easier to understand what the requirements are so this very much facilitates implementation, and also auditing of and using the standard as an audit tool. We also have in the 45001 new concepts. So, we have something called the context of the organization that is new leadership is emphasized. It was there in 18001 as management commitment but now we have leadership and the participation and consultation of workers have it is far more highlighted. Planning as well has been expanded and we also have support as a new clause for the standard although some of the things in support we find our old friends that come from the 18001 operation is there. And again, we have more detail in the section eight operation clause 8 and we have this concept of risk. Risk was there in 18001 but now it's much more underlined and comes under planning. So absolutely the 45001 it is really demonstrating leadership and commitment of your company to being a health and safety conscious organization. It's also looking to see that and it is a format to be able to help you control your occupational health and safety risks and we always want to improve how can we improve our performance for health and safety. By Implementing ISO 45001 can really help you do that.
